The Interchange Food Pantry wouldn’t be known for serving its guests respectfully and connecting them with the high-quality food they need without its outstanding volunteers. They help prepare the pantry hours before guests arrive. Once guests arrive, volunteers help with greeting our guests, intake and helping guests select their food.
Shifts as short as two or three hours on one of our days of operation or prep days can make the difference for Interchange and its guests.
Mondays 9 am to 11 am: Unload shipments, sort food, and stock shelves
Noon to 2 pm: Prepare pantry to open
2 pm to 5 pm: Welcome and provide food to our guests
9 am to 11 am: Welcome and provide food to our guests
4 pm to 6:30 pm: Welcome and provide food to our guests
Fridays 9 am to Noon: Unload shipments, sort food, and stock shelves
Walk-ins welcomed (one or two individuals)
If your group (3+ volunteers) is interested in any of these opportunities, leave an electronic message on our contact page for pantry director George Neureuther or call the Interchange Food Pantry at (414) 551-2184.
