Dear Friends of Interchange,
The Interchange Food Pantry needs your help hosting a food drive at your workplace, church, where you live, or asking family and friends to host a food drive. Since the pandemic, at no fault of theirs, food banks, our primary source of free food, cannot provide the same food as in the past due to the high price of foods, increased demand, and shortages. Plus, the demand is greater as we now see the effects of FoodShare cuts as more guests come to the pantry.
This year the pantry will most likely serve over 55,000 guests, with nearly 50% children. We need peanut butter, canned fruits such as peaches, and pears, mixed fruit, canned peas, pasta sauce, kid’s juice cups, granola bars, and mac & cheese.
If you want to host a food drive, please let us know, and we will create a flyer specifically for you! If you cannot do a food drive but want to make a financial donation, please let us know by writing “food drive” in the check memo. If you use our website, www.interchangefoodpantry.org, or our Gofundme page at https://gofund.me/01f9df1c, please mention it’s for our food drive or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Peace & Happiness,
Interchange Food Pantry Director
